I’ve been slacking in the blogging department lately… Initially, it was because of COVID - it just felt weird to write about the content that I had originally planned out. I tried, several times, but they never made it very far… I actually have a few sitting in my ‘drafts’ folder just waiting to be published. In hindsight, I wish I would have documented our experiences with what was going on in the world around us, but I didn’t and now it feels like too much of an afterthought to actually be beneficial or interesting to read. And now that things are starting to open back up and I have sessions and content to share, I’ve just been so dang busy. Between photography sessions, Etsy orders, and getting ready to make another cross country move, blogging has been placed on the back burner. BUT, I want to make blogging a priority again, so I’m committing to changing that. So hopefully now that I’ve put this out there it’ll help hold me accountable.
Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way… Meet Rose + Jordan and their adorable counterparts. Rose and I actually went to elementary school together, technically Kindergarten through 7th grade, but it had been years, no decades since we’ve seen each other or chatted. But I’ve got to say, she was the same Rose I remember - down to earth, fun-loving and super sweet. I was so honored when she contacted me to schedule a session for her family! I’m not joking y’all when I say it’s always such an honor and I’m so incredibly grateful when friends and family ask me to document their family!
This fun-loving group was so much fun to spend time with and capture - each kiddo had such a unique personality and it was a blast trying to get them all to open up and have a good time during our session. There was lots of flower picking, joking and laughing and we all left with nothing but smiles on our faces (and maybe some sweat too! Haha)
I hope you enjoy a peek at their outdoor family session at Al Sabo Land Preserve in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
